DayOne Response produces and supplies portable waterbags that treat contaminated freshwater sources to provide drinkable water in 30 minutes. The Company was founded to address the global need for emergency drinking water during disaster relief. The Company’s inaugural technology, the DayOne Waterbag™ is a low-cost 10 litre water purification backpack that provides all four functions required to safely treat and store drinking water – collection, transportation, treatment and hygienic storage.

A single DayOne Waterbag™ can provide 26 times the amount of water a conventional solution can and saves up to 97% in transportation costs compared to bottled water. Customers include international NGOs, military, government and domestic preparedness retailers.

Founder Tricia Compas-Markman has a civil engineering background with experience working on water treatment technologies for developing countries.
